Sedukon
SEDUKON o. p. s. is a non-profit and non-governmental organization that was founded in 2001. Its main seat is located in Ostrava, even though it disposes also with a branch in Prague.
From its beginning, SEDUKON was profiled as training and educational organization specialised in the work with groups of disadvantaged and disabled people. Getting involved in the cooperation on international level in 2005, SEDUKON has started to develop connections with organizations from abroad, while in this portfolio of partners are involved NGOs, private training organizations, universities, schools as well as private companies.
Based on successful experience on the community level, SEDUKON begun also actively participate in EU funded projects on the national level. Important input to the activities of this NGO came up in 2010, when it was accredited by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports for providing the course "Further Training of Pedagogical Workers" in the field of soft skills.
Acivities:
- Trainings focused on disadvantaged and socially excluded groups to help them to integrate back to society.
- General contribution to the gender equality in the political and social sphere, in education and employment and other areas.
- Training and guidance for disabled people and children with learning disabilities.
- Capacity building of NGO and NNO workers.
- Arranging courses and workshops
- Initiative and implementation of national projects.
- Co-operation in the implementation of European projects.
- Providing employment and career consulting.
The company is one of the major regional non-profit organizations, focusing primarily on education and following activities. Due to co-operation with foreign partners and implementation of international experiences, contributing substantially to better and more successful form of education in the Czech Republic. More info
